Looks like they shuffled Demolitionist's Flametouched/Temper around a bit.įlametouched used to be +%Fire, + %Lightning and + %Fire retaliation - pure buffs, no damage itself. I'm liking the new Possession, at max rank it has 10% damage absorption all the time which is pretty fabulous all around. Gay Rat Wedding fucked around with this message at 08:37 on Jan 17, 2016 Might be time to see if van helsing or victor vran are any better about that.Į: This reads a little harsher toward pets than I intended, I'm not suggesting anyone drop a pet character they have in progress, but if you're starting a new character and haven't played the game much yet, there's a huge number of other builds you could do that will give you more control. I really started to lose interest right after the darkvale gate. I think I honestly had more fun when the game stopped at level 40 and even the hardest stuff in the game (at the time) didn't feel like such a slog if you didn't have a perfectly single-focused build. There are lots of other builds I'd like to try, but the way builds have to be so single-focused in this game, it gets hard to maintain interest when 95% of the blue items I find are useless for my character. There's not much to the gameplay so if it doesn't feel like you're progressing, the game gets boring pretty fast. I only found a single relic blueprint for pets, and I couldn't make it because it required another relic that I didn't have a blueprint for. In those following 17 levels I found maybe 10 pieces of random yellow/green gear that I swapped in for very slightly higher pet damage %, but other than that there was almost no progression. I finished at level 57, but I can't think of a single pet-focused blue item I found past level 40. Pet stuff still feels like an afterthought and I would not recommend using a pet build unless you have some extremely good gear saved up or are willing to deal with random difficulty spikes you can't do anything about because your damage source is janky. At least it's now barely possible to win through attrition. Lots of games I play nowadays have weird little glitches I need to work out to make them work!Įnd boss is still a terrible, miserable clusterfuck with a pet build on veteran. On the downside, the game is being played at a crazy resolution, and while the XPS 15 does a great job, the lower fps are definitely noticeable, but the game is definitely playable.Īll in all I feel like I jumped into this 4K resolution trend a couple years too early. This leaves you with a game that takes the whole screen up, has a mouse, and a readable UI. Then I had to go into the config ini file and manually change the UIscale value to 1.75 since the game menu only takes it to 1.25 on its own. What I had to do was play the game in a border less window (this is in the graphics settings) at the screens native 4K resolution. Doing this can secure quick kills to group of mobs.Hey, as somebody in the same boat who is considering picking up this game did the suggested fixes take care of your problems? Did you have to adjust the DPI settings AND the UI work-around?
Grim dawn witchfire how to#
It is also energy consumption safe to max out this skill without worrying on how to sustain it (due to its 6-second cool down). Olexra’s Flash Freeze lets you nuke out enemies at your early level. On a more personal note, I really like this skill, including its animation. Number 3: Arcanist’s Olexra’s Flash Freeze One cast, one kill to most enemies on your early levels.

Base on experience, it triggers devotion skills most of the time.

And those downsides are the skill’s arming time, plus it can only hit enemies in a specific pattern. But of course, with its power comes a downside too.
